I am a senior researcher at GESIS — Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences and affiliated with the MEDem project (medem.eu). The University of Cologne is my alma mater. I am a big fan of democracy. As a researcher, I study the preferences and behavior of political elites and citizens using surveys and computational social sciences. As a service provider, I help other researchers to link data on political parties (polpal.org). In my spare time, I train martial arts and love going for hikes.
